In addition to the sensitive design required on this site, a change of use from agricultural to commercial was required.   Consent was granted in 2014 and the building is complete and fully operational as offices and a national training centre for Innasol, distributors of bio-fuel boilers.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="40px"][qodef_button size="" type="outline" target="_blank" icon_pack="" font_weight="" text="Download project sheet" link="https://bluepencildesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Maldon-12-13.pdf"][/vc_column][/vc_row]...

Our Client was very keen to produce an attractive design of medium density. Our approach was to study the growth of the village from 1600 to present day and then to show how our proposal would be an appropriate and logical continuation of this growth.   A number of conservation areas in the borough were studied and townscape references were taken from them and adapted for inclusion in our masterplan.   Planning Consent was granted in early 2013. The Design and Access Statement we produced, setting out the analysis and masterplan development, was described by Maidstone Borough Council’s case officer as ‘exemplar’.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="20px"][qodef_blockquote text="Bluepencil Designs approached the design challenges of this development with...

This includes analysis of the site, its surroundings and local villages, architectural references, landscape and materials. It was used at pre-application meetings and as a design brief for Mersea Homes and Hill (Residential) along with the consultant team. The site is surrounded by residential development and the challenge was to create a development that would fit seamlessly into the neighbourhood, whilst also creating a unique sense of place. This was achieved through studies of local conservation areas and replicating some of the scale and character of these places.   [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="40px"][qodef_button size="" type="outline" target="_blank" icon_pack="" font_weight="" text="Download project sheet" link="www.bluepencildesigns.com/sheets/Stanway.pdf"][/vc_column][/vc_row]...
