It often appears in television programmes, films, and commercials, as well as on chocolate boxes, biscuit tins, and other products.   The illustrative layout shows dispersed housing at the edges and a traditional streetscape in the centre with buildings directly fronting the street. There is open space and a pond at the entrance to the site and informal green swathes (characteristic of the edge of village landscape found in this part of Essex) around which the new housing...

All open spaces have buildings fronting on to them. There is a well balanced range of dwelling types from 1 bed apartments to four bedroom houses. The illustrative layout is very detailed for an...

The houses are designed to be appropriate for their setting and are predominantly of gault brick under slate roofs with paired down detailing, as is characteristic of this area. By contrast the landscape is richly detailed and provides the perfect backdrop. The roads are mostly shared surface with textured strips at junctions to encourage slow speeds.   The revit modelled house designs were useful for the CGI designer,  who was able to import the files directly into his software, saving a great deal of time...

The masterplan and Design and Access Statement  were underpinned by Bluepencil's detailed, data linked proving layout which gave the application a robust base from which the inspector could clearly appreciate the viability of the design. The Design and Access Statement included analysis of surrounding towns and villages, parameter plans and character area studies which reflected the analysis work and showed how the proposed masterplan was in line with planning policy and followed the guidance in the Essex Design Guide. Having created a 3D model of the entire layout Bluepencil were able to work with Landscape consultants, Tyler Grange,...

This is the third house we have designed (and got planning consent for) in or near an AONB. The proposed new dwelling is intended to be a retirement home for the applicants. It will be an easy to live in, adaptable home, all on one level.    The intention was also to create an exemplar in sustainable construction and performance standards with low running costs and high energy efficiency. In addition the design concept was strongly influenced by the applicant’s insistence on sustainable, healthy, construction methods and processes and on first class workmanship.   The brief was to design a contemporary home that...

It contains a number of buildings.  Earnley Place is the ‘main house’ and is a georgian double gabled, two storey  brick building, with attic rooms under a plain tile roof. This house has attractive gardens including an orchard, lawns, ponds and a collection of non native tree species. The house has a walled garden to the north (facing the road) and the front elevation faces...
