The site is in a sensitive location at the edge of the village envelope. We produced a very detailed Design Statement showing extensive analysis of the site and the surroundings. The house and its annex were designed to sit in the landscape and to be factory manufactured as an eco house which is virtually airtight, constructed with natural materials from sustainable sources and engineered to conserve energy. We used 3D views and 360 models to develop the design with the client and explain it comprehensively to local authority planning officers. Once the planning consent was achieved the design was passed to Meisterstuek Haus in Germany for fabrication. Construction started on site in August 2016.
‘Bluepencil Designs were able to achieve a planning consent in this highly sensitive location because of their intelligent approach, excellent presentation skills and their skillful use of 3D modelling. We are absolutely delighted with the result.’
