We are delighted to announce another successful planning consent. Tiptree is the home of Wilkin and Sons Jam and is the ‘largest village’ in England.
We worked closely with our client, Inland Homes inlandhomes.co.uk as well as Colchester Borough Council to ensure that the design was appropriate and met the design aspirations set out in ‘The Essex Design Guide”.
Our role was to produce the material for the detailed planning application which included site plans, house plans and elevations, street elevations and sections, 3D birds-eye views and a thorough Design and Access Statement.
The layout was produced in Revit software and the house types were designed to building regulation and space standard compliance so that the transition from planning application drawings to detailed construction drawings would be as efficient as possible for the client, whose architectural technicians will prepare the working drawings.
Revit models can easily be converted into AutoCAD files which is allows us to use BIM software and remain compatible with others who have yet to make the leap into Building Information Modelling.
The consultant team included Nathaniel Lichfield nlpplanning.com and ACD Environmental who provided ecology advice and landscape design. Both consultant teams were a pleasure to work with.
